Birthday Celebration

We decided not to do a big party for Laney's birthday this year. Instead, Oma and Geepa came over and made dinner. I really like the new plan for our birthdays that doesn't involve me cooking ; ) Laney really loves the fact the Gee made her this cake:

After dinner, Laney opened her gifts. Despite being totally uninterested in opening presents just four days earlier, she tore into her birthday gifts with gusto. Bitty Baby got this new stroller. I can't tell you how excited I was to know she was no longer going to be pushing Bitty Baby around in her highchair. The noise of that thing scraping on the floor had just about sent me to the loony bin. She can now take Bitty for daily walks in style. They especially like to go to Storyville, or so I'm told.
