Daddy's B-Day and Trick-or-Treating

On Halloween night, Oma and G came over to make Mike a birthday dinner and to go trick-or-treating with us. We had a great time! Laney was so cute knocking on each door and getting to pick out a candy. For some reason she refused to say "trick-or-treat." She also asked a few people if she could come in...which was funny.

Here is the reason I am so bad about updating the blog lately...She just refuses to sit for pictures! So unlike her mom as a child. I think this picture says it all!

Decorating the steps for the trick-or-treaters. I bought six bags of candy, we had maybe 10 groups of kids knock on the door. Soooo different from Federal Hill Halloweens. It was really nice to meet so many of our new neighbors by trick-or-treating. There are some kids really close in age with Laney and we are really looking forward to hanging out with them.

Oma made Daddy his favorite, carrot cake. We sang "Happy Birthday" as practiced. I wish I would have taken a video instead because as soon as the song was over, Laney proclaimed "Okay, everybody eat!"
