My Baby Girl is 1

I knew that 2009 would be filled with emotions and experiences that would be different from anything I had known...but I didn't have any idea. I had no clue how humbling, wonderful, and powerful parenthood would really be. Watching Laney transform from a tiny, helpless, sweet baby into a precocious, fun-loving, silly girl has been the greatest honor of my life. She changes and learns everyday. She can make monkey noises and point to her nose, head, and toes. She waves and gives high fives. She loves being tickled and chased. Peek-a-boo is an all time favorite game. She loves to read books and sing songs. The list is really just too long to name. The best things though, are her kisses and hugs...and giggles.
